This clinic is a must have for all horse owners and lovers! Build your confidence and knowledge about emergency treatments that your horse may one day need. This course includes a wealth of information covering a variety of health related topics. This is a hands-on course, well mannered horses will be provided. Learn how to:
- flush foreign bodies from eyes
- prevent your horse from getting injured
- what to do if your horse is trapped or falls in a sink hole
- recognize digestive emergencies such as colic, choking and collapse
- treat hoof puncture wounds, thrush, abscess and white line
- detect pain in a horse’s back
- make home remedies to help save on vet bills
Cindy Houghton is a certified first aid instructor with Equi-health Canada. She will be generously donating all profits of this course to sponsor riders with the Wild Pink Yonder. At the end of the day participants will be provided with a detailed manual, certificate and a wallet sized vital signs chart.
