Holy moly! What a wild couple of days!

We got to Waterton … late.  Everybody was there, including Amber Marshall, when we finally arrived.  It was raining.  Never did get the sunshine they spoke about for that day.

The ride down was hairy.  Had a flat tire scare.  (Turned out to be low tires, but it’s such a HUGE load that the idea of having a flat while pulling it is … well … daunting.)  The fields down aroung Claresholm, which are usually dry and brown by August, are lush and green and there are more bales of hay down there than you can count.  They’re as far as the eye can see … and in southern Alberta, that’s long!  Hay will be cheap this winter.

Got to Waterton and attended the Fandango.  Nobody danced, dammit!  But the food was excellent and we sat around and had a few drinks afterwards.  A good time was had by all.
