Today was perfect: a 20 km ride, a beautiful day with not a cloud in the sky. The temperature just about perfect. Horses just about
perfect. Lunch was just about perfect and with the Rocky mountains as our backdrop, is just about perfect.
We were met in Turner Valley by town council and the Okotoks Western Wheel newspaper, and we were an impressive sight – 3 wagons and 26 outriders all in pink!
We had a police escort through the heart of town out to our campsight, a lovely campground on the edge of town. Before this day is through we’ll be cooling off with a shower and a dip in the community pool followed by dinner with the residents of Turner Valley.
Meanwhile back at camp, they brought in hay, they brought in water, they brought in a fire pit – the party is on!
