Game on!

Happy New Year!

I don’t have the whole summer mapped out yet, but today I spoke with Rocky from Entrance Ranch in Hinton. We had such a good time there last summer. I don’t think there was one rider who didn’t want to return. So, we will!

We’re going for a three day weekend! It’s not a regular long weekend, so you’ll not be letting family down. We will arrive on Friday, June 22nd (late afternoon or evening), in order to ride June 23, 24 and 25. Where will we ride? Your choice. We can do Willmore again. We can do Cadomin. We can ride along the Athabasca River right out of Entrance Ranch. The choice will be yours. You gotta know that no matter where we ride, the scenery will be fantastic. (And the company won’t be too shabby either!)

I haven’t started on the prizes yet, but there will be at least a $1,000 shopping spree at Peavey Mart. If he comes through, there might be a shopping spree at a well known tack shop. Who knows what the prizing might be! But if you want to win, you better get fundraising!

Meanwhile, our Hinton host is looking to buy a horse so he can ride with us! If you know of a 15-15.2 well broke trail gelding for sale, let me know and I’ll pass it on to Rocky. This horse should have good bone. Rocky says that the breed is not an issue, nor is colour … though he specified that it can’t be pink. <grin>

An Incredible Opportunity for Riders of All Abilities

It has all come together so quickly!  There is about a week of Wild Pink Yonder that is going to be extraordinary!  Not to get me wrong!  Every day we will have beautiful trails to ride because every day the horseback riders in the towns we’re visiting are taking us on the best trails they have … but my goodness, you need to check out what we’re doing on the southern leg of the ride!

  • August 8th we’re riding Waterton Lakes National Park and going to Great Canadian Barn Dance.
  • August 10th and 11th we’re riding in the Rockies again.
  • August 13th we’re riding with Mantracker.
  • August 14th we’re riding at Sandy McNabb.
  • August 15th we’re staying on the set of Heartland.
  • August 16th we’re riding Ghost Waiparous.
  • August 17th we’re going out west of Sundre for a visit with “The Wildies”.
  • August 18th we’re riding YaHa Tinda.
  • August 19th we’re off to ride on a beautiful ranch in the foothills.
  • August 21st and 22nd we’re spending two days on the delightful trails at Drayton Valley Horse Club.

I tell you, if there was ever a year to ride Wild Pink Yonder, this is it!  I so wish I’d decided to haul from town to town (instead of riding) years ago!  But, you see, you can teach an old dog new tricks *grin* — so if you’d like to join us this year, it’s never too late!  We’d still love to have you, but don’t snail mail.  You’ll need to register by phoning me at (780) 975-4429 and then bringing your registration and fundraising to camp with you.

  • The best trails in the province.
  • Great new horseback riding friends.
  • Exciting adventures.
  • Great fun in the towns we visit.

You’re going to love it!  Please join us for the time of your life!
